How to Prepare For Your Organic Spray Tan
1. Shave one or two days beforehand
If you’d like to achieve a smooth, even color. It’s recommended that you shave a day or two before your organic spray tan appointment. This will help leave your pore open to create an even color. If you shave any closer to your appointment, you run the risk of having a streaky tan.
2. Four hours before your organic spray tan
Ideally, you’ll want to exfoliate 24 to 4 hours before your organic spray tan appointment. This way all of your dead skin is removed, and there are no dry patches for the color to stick to. It’s a good idea to exfoliate from head to toe.
3. Going to your appointment
On the day of your appointment, you should avoid applying any moisturizers, perfumes, or makeup. These substances will only block your skin’s ability to properly absorb the tanner, which results in an inconsistent, streaky finish.
Another important tip is to show up to your appointment in loose-fitting garments (and go braless if possible). Also, be sure to remove all of your jewelry, including rings, bracelets, and necklaces.
